Frank Iero solidifies the "Best Dad EVER" title he claims in his Twitter bio in his latest musical collaboration—with his children. Not only did he enlist his twin daughters Lily and Cherry as primary songwriter and backup vocalists for it, but the proceeds from all sales of "B.F.F." go toward their, and their brother Miles', college funds. "So no piracy please," Iero said in his original announcement of the song. "You will literally be stealing from a baby."

We got to interview Frank Iero about his upcoming solo record, his bands, and more. Check it out below:

Firstly I’d like to thank you for taking the time to do this. What records and books have you recently been consuming?

It is my pleasure, thank you for taking the time to write the questions. i apologize profusely for this taking so long to get done…however life kept getting in my way. Currently I am reading Morrissey’s autobiography and finishing up Death at Seaworld at the same time. Usually I try and finish one before I start another but I got too excited when the Morrissey book came in the mail. That book has the bleakest first couple of pages I have ever seen start a book. It’s pretty incredible. As far as records go Climax by Beast Milk is still in heavy rotation and Transgender Dysphoria Blues by Against Me! might be my favorite record I’ve heard in the past like 5 or 10 years. it’s frightening how good that record is. It’s so fierce, in the best way possible it sounds like a band’s first record…and i guess in a way it is. I’ve been trying to think of another band that released a record like that in the middle of their career and i can’t think of another instance. For me a great record forces you go back through a bands back catalogue and rediscover things and fall in love all over again. TDB does that beautifully.

1.27.14 'My Icy Valentine' -2014 Limited Edition

so for a while now people have been asking if and when i might start releasing some prints of my photography and artwork... and after some thought and work i finally have an answer:

on wednesday january 29th B.CALM Press and i will be releasing my first solo giclee fine art print.

limited to only 25 pieces, 'My Icy Valentine' -2014 is something very special to me. i took this photo almost exactly a year ago, and it has been one of my favorite images i have had the privilege of capturing. i've wanted to do this for some time now and i am proud to finally be able to share it with you.

we have printed 'My Icy Valentine' on acid free velvet fine art stock, a 100% cotton archive quality paper. i hand signed, numbered, and embellished all 25 prints with acid free acrylic ink. all pieces will be quality checked and packaged in house, and will be available for shipping worldwide.

Frank Iero: ‘DIY is where the revolution begins’

Frank Iero has done a little bit of everything in the music industry. Perhaps best known as the rhythm guitarist for My Chemical Romance, he’s also fronted bands like LeATHERMOUTH and Death Spells, and worked on original material for soundtracks. Before all of that, he was a member of Pencey Prep, perhaps one of the paradigm examples of contemporary garage punk.

i am incredibly happy to announce that my newest musical endeavor will be a collaboration between myself and two of my favorite artists of all time.... my 3 year old twin daughters, Lily and Cherry Iero. our single, B.F.F., will be released worldwide by B.CALM press available through all online digital music retailers on february 25, 2014.

B.F.F. was written by Lily and i, and features vocals by myself, Lily, and Cherry. i recorded and performed all of the instruments on the track at B.CALM Underground studios, it was then mixed by Ed Rose and mastered by Alan Douches at west west side music.

i look forward to sharing more details on this single as the release date approaches but for now....that is all.

i recently recorded 2 songs for my wife's birthday. i have decided to release these songs and dedicate my first ep to her. she is the love of my life, and has been my best friend and the most incredible partner i could have ever asked for. she inspires me and deserves more than i could possibly give her.

a few years ago, on december 10, my wife and i found out we were going to be parents for the first time. a blessing we had long hoped for. that date will forever be imbedded in my psyche as the day my life changed forever...for the better. seems to me like the perfect day to begin our latest chapter...

i know it's been almost a month since i have posted here...
what the fuhk is my problem, right?!?!
