My Chemical Romance Talk New Drummer
Ray Toro tells Rock Sound about the band's new live drummer Michael Pedicone.

My Chemical Romance guitarist Ray Toro recently spoke to Rock Sound about the band's new drummer Michael Pedicone.

The new sticksman, who previously spent time behind the kit for The Bled, has impressed at the band's London and Manchester shows but if you are expecting to see him on the covers of magazines soon then you may be disappointed according to Toro.

"We have known him for years and we've booked him to play all our shows with us right now but we are just seeing how it works out," he admitted. "But as far as members and the people you see in magazines and in the videos it is just going to be the four of us for the time being."

My Chemical Romance Have A New Drummer ... For Their Tour
Michael Pedicone, formerly of Arizona's the Bled, joined MCR for their London tour kickoff.
By James Montgomery

Earlier this year, My Chemical Romance parted ways with drummer Bob Bryar, who had played with the band since 2004 (he replaced their first drummer, Matt Pelissier). Since then, they've finished recording — and subsequently re-recording — an entire album, undergone a rather drastic DayGlo makeover, and created an impressive postapocalyptic future world to inhabit.

London Fan Tour Reports
Posted by Jeff on Oct 25, 2010 01:20pm

The tour reports are in for MCR's first show of the World Contamination Tour in London, UK! Tour reporters Michelle B. and Sarah I. were there, and had this to say:

"The danger days are here, and the killjoys blew up the Hammersmith Apollo like the post apocalyptic world they know and love. After a three year break from the UK, the boys were back in town to play the first show on the Danger Days World Contamination Tour and they melted off our faces." - Michelle B.

"I shed a tear during Cancer and again when Gerard announced "London thank you so much. We are really excited about this record, but we're more excited about the next 10 years of this band." After being away for so long they've really come back with bang and knowing we've got a lot more to look forward to just makes it all so much more exciting." - Sarah I.

My Chemical Romance debut new material in London
Band unveil new drummer at the Hammersmith show

My Chemical Romance made a dramatic return last night (October 23), debuting a clutch of songs from their new album in London.

The New Jersey-born rock stars unveiled their new style at Hammersmith Apollo with singer Gerard Way debuting his new bright red hair, appearing as his new alias Party Poison. The group also unveiled their new drummer Mike Pedicone, formerly of Arizona hardcore band The Bled.

Opening the show with new single 'Na Na Na', the band went on to preview three more new songs, the driving punk jam 'Planetary (Go!)', the anthemic 'The Only Hope For Me Is You', and the epic 'The Kids From Yesterday', which closed the show.

My Chemical Romance are preparing to release their fourth album 'Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys' next month. These are their first shows since the departure of drummer Bob Bryar, although the band have yet to announce a permanent replacement.

Many of the audience, who Way had adopted as 'Killjoys', were dressed up in outfits inspired by the Mad Max style video to 'Na Na Na'.
