One chapter ends and another begins...

Hello Friends,

Recently it seems as though every time we write to you guys we have bad news, and we apologize for that, but we've learned in life you can't have the sweet without the sour. As a band we have been very fortunate over the years that our sweet times have greatly outweighed the sour ones, and a great deal of that is owed to you, the fans. Which is why we wanted this news to come from us and not some bullshit gossip site.

As of 4 weeks ago, My Chemical Romance and Bob Bryar parted ways. This was a painful decision for all of us to make and was not taken lightly. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and expect you all to do the same.

We also wanted to give you all a quick heads up on how the record is progressing. We have been writing some very powerful new songs so this week the four of us entered the studio once again, and what has been ending up on tape each night is some of the most exciting and honest work we have ever created.

ETA We hope this letter finds you well, we miss you...
talk to you soon,
xo MCR

I'm kind of wondering like I said above if they just had huge chunks that they just were not happy with again or everything had changed so much that they were drawn to go back and reconstruct.

I have always figured, based on their behaviour in live shows, that they don't consider the material Matt helped craft on Bullets to be playable any longer. (Obviously, Three Cheers had to remain playable given when they booted him out.) They may figure this is a similar thing.

Then again, it could be something as prosaic as legal issues between WB and Eyeball, to play the music recorded on Eyeball, I don't know.

I've seen them play stuff off of Bullets, so I don't think it's the latter.

I'm under the impression that Frank meant that because of the experience they were writing a lot new stuff and wanted to record that (ie the personal and honest stuff) and kind of IDK using that to create more material. I don't even know. Perhaps this was one of the reasons they parted ways with Bob? Creative direction?

I don't even know if that made sense, really.

I don't know. I just want to kick them all and pound my fists >:(

I'm not really angry, I'm just frustrated and a bit sad. I just really want them to do something easy for once. And I want to know the details. Immediately.

Atleast I'm on the third stage of grief? :D?

I'm hoping they're just recording more stuff to add, maybe change some songs for others but not re-recoding the whole album.

Maybe Bob got tired of how much the others changed their minds? :P
