One chapter ends and another begins...

Hello Friends,

Recently it seems as though every time we write to you guys we have bad news, and we apologize for that, but we've learned in life you can't have the sweet without the sour. As a band we have been very fortunate over the years that our sweet times have greatly outweighed the sour ones, and a great deal of that is owed to you, the fans. Which is why we wanted this news to come from us and not some bullshit gossip site.

As of 4 weeks ago, My Chemical Romance and Bob Bryar parted ways. This was a painful decision for all of us to make and was not taken lightly. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and expect you all to do the same.

We also wanted to give you all a quick heads up on how the record is progressing. We have been writing some very powerful new songs so this week the four of us entered the studio once again, and what has been ending up on tape each night is some of the most exciting and honest work we have ever created.

I just really wish I knew what was going on. I mean I'll miss Bob and what the fuck. But I'd also like to know why and I'd like to know if they're writing again that means the album still isn't done? Fucking dammit.

I had a gut feeling that rumor was true after people said that his name disappeared from the website for a bit.

I am really at a loss for words right now. I too thought the album was pretty much done and they are writing again.

almost as shocking, i thought that the record has been finished. so bob's not even going to be on the record either?

Or they scrapped a huge chunk of what they had in favor of rerecording.

I'm very, very sad but at least we were kinda prepared for this. In a weird weird I'm relieved that the news weren't worse. I saw the blog and was terrified of Frank saying MCR was over.

I'm sure we'll get more details VERY soon, many magazines will want to talk to them and they'll have to say more. the label probably told them to leave that for interviews, wouldn't surprise me.

Now...WTF did he mean with recording more songs? They were mixing in November? Did they change their mind again? decided to add more?

Well, Frank did say in the Big Cheese interview that they wanted to record some more songs after the holidays. Hopefully it doesn't mean re-recording the whole album and we'll get it at least in...June? Also wonder if someone will re-record Bob's parts...:/

Please, we need some magazines articles SOON.

I'm kind of wondering like I said above if they just had huge chunks that they just were not happy with again or everything had changed so much that they were drawn to go back and reconstruct.

I can't use my bob smiley icon for this. I know he'll be okay, that's not the problem. I'm just going to miss him. None of them can be terribly happy right now, because even if they make do with another new drummer, that new guy won't be BOB and so they're going through what we are only on a bigger scale.

I've never been one of those "it's not the same since ..." fans, but how can it ever be the same again? Bob's massive verbal awkwardness and tiny, shy smile were part of what turned me on to this band, and even if he goes back to being a ninja sound guy, he's not going to be anywhere we get to see him. :((( And I'm sad.

Seriously, I can't do anything but D: right now. So disappointed in this. Especially since we've been given no clue as to why and why the album is taking so damn long.
Just. ugh. I want Bob.
