I understand that you might not find that tweet as offensive as many other people do, (and that is very much your right) but honestly, no matter how 'ironic' violence against women is, it sure doesn't make it any more acceptable. This isn't just a one-off joke with Frank: it's part of a worrying pattern.

Don't worry, Frank's said so much horseshit of late that it's kind of hard to keep track of it all.

My opinion is that advocating the beating women isn't really the issue here. What he's really doing is propogating misogynistic attitudes by making a joke about violence against women and finding 'entertainment' value in it. If Frank had tweeted that seeing a clip of a white person lynch a black person was 'proof of God', he would have little leeway to explain it away. The (false) fact he's taking for granted, is that when it's said about women, it's okay. Someone needs to tell him it isn't.

More than anything, I just hate the fact that this shit is being fed through to the band's website.
