TBP makes Top 10 Favorite Albums of the Decade

Pop Damage lists The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance on it's Top 10 Favorite Albums of the Decade, in no particular order:
Many bands find they need to change in order to forward their music. But in the case of My Chemical Romance, they felt the need to become an entirely different band for this release. Not only does the album tell the story of a dying cancer patient viewing his life in reverse as he meets death in the form of a marching band, but the publicity and hype surrounding it depicted MCR as The Black Parade itself. The album opens with the sound of a flatline and ends with the repeated mantra, “I am not afraid to keep on living/I am not afraid to walk this world alone.” In releasing an album about death, My Chemical Romance celebrated what it is to be alive.

When they put it like that, I don't hate TBP quite so much.

Why do you hate it?

It's not so much the music as it is the concept and the time period. It just all felt really strange and out of place to me.
