I find it offensive to hear or read that kind of thing because I've suffered violence and sexual assault, and to hear people casually, mindlessly, happily, and unapologetically make light of such things in the name of "stupid humor" makes me feel like dirt. Or, I should say, it makes me feel even more like dirt because I already feel like dirt because of what I've been through. Jokes like that do nothing but further the attitude that violence towards women is nothing serious.
