I've wanted strings version of this song ever since the video mix where there's that little part just as Gerard takes that Draculoids mask off, and the band drops out and it's just his vocals, strings and a softer kind of drum beat.

This sounds amazing, and it's even cooler that Ray composed it. Talent oozing out of that man like mad.

I never really understood the radio/video edit version of the song and why it differs from the studio version.

The music is turned down so you can hear the sounds of guns/glass breaking/whatever - it makes it seem a bit more real and a bit more like a movie, I think? Plus the moment PatentPending talked about. :)
