My Chemical Romance to Play 'An Evening With...'
My Chemical Romance are to play one of Xfm's special Evening With sessions on Thursday, February 10 in front of an invited audience of fans. You can win tickets here!
Speaking to Xfm's Sunta Templeton ahead of the announcement lead singer Gerard Way said he is looking forward to the intimate gig:
"Usually when you have to do those kinds of sessions or things like it you don't get to have your fans there. It's actually going to be a really unique experience for us because usually sessions are just you and a camera crew and they can be really dull, so I'm excited to have our fans there for in that kind of environment."
The band are on tour in the UK this month promoting their new album 'Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys'. But Gerard told us they won't be the same sort of shows they put on for concept album 'The Black Parade':
"I wouldn't expect any theatrics but I would expect to see just us playing a lot of songs and really focussed on the band. We are bringing lights and stuff but right now things are just getting started so I definitely wouldn't expect things like zepplins and backdrops and things like that - I think we are just going to play and have fun"
He also told us that fans can expect a few European festivals this summer - but does that mean they will be in the UK?
"I don't know yet, I actually genuinely don't know, I would hope that it does and I think it would probably make sense as we'd be over there doing anyway and obviously we'd really appreciate and look forward to doing that"
