Interview: MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE is "for f***ing life".
Written by Shahlin Graves | Friday, 24 February 2012 23:24

MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE guitarist FRANK IERO is standing side-of-stage watching Best Coast's set at the Auckland Big Day Out. He applauds at the end of every single song, squinting thoughtfully in appreciation of the band, with frontman GERARD WAY joining him for a few minutes before it's time for the pair to prepare for their own set on the festival's main stage. Likewise, their band-mate RAY TORO has also been taking advantage of the day's sights and sounds, being quick to tweet his appreciation of a fellow band on the tour: "Vaccines on at BDO. Sound great!"

Dear friends, what follows is a few weeks of our lives in digital form. These photos were taken between the days of January 17th 2012 and February 6th 2012, as we toured the great lands of New Zealand and Australia respectively. As brothers we roamed these grand terrains. Friends were made, enemies slain, pie faces devoured with a quickness and fury. We are better men because of these (mis)adventures, but i must warn you... some of these images cannot nor will not be unseen.
enjoi at your own risk.
no worries. xofrnk

My Chemical Romance Talks "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" and "Danger Days"
My Chemical Romance have created the best rock record of 2010 with Danger Days: The True Lives of The Fabulous Killjoys. There's no doubt about it.

It's an album that demands the attention of not just music fans worldwide, but anyone who appreciates art. My Chemical Romance crafted a roller coaster through an apocalyptic Southern California that's spurned forward by earthquaking cuts like "DESTROYA," where tribal drums meet heavy metal riffs in an avalanche of poetic aggression. Danger Days sits on the line between sensitive and scorching, making for one of the most progressively powerful records of the past decade and a modern classic…

My Chemical Romance pay homage to all of their influences while elevating the medium as a whole. Some of those influences are just plain fascinating too.

When asked about their favorite movie at the moment, the band collectively concurs on Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. There's nothing wrong with that…

In this exclusive interview, My Chemical Romance chat with ARTISTdirect.com editor and Dolor author Rick Florino about why Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is so incredible, making Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys different, the story behind "DESTROYA" and so much more.
